Casting a Spell?

Spell – (noun) a psychological state induced by (or as if induced by) a magical incantation. Synonyms: enchantment, trance

Spell – (noun) a series of words, thoughts and/or deeds that allows one to alter reality to various extents. If you’re under a spell, then what you do is out of your control. Your thoughts and actions are dictated by the spell.

Since the Halloween season is upon us, I thought it would be fun to address the issue of spells. Perhaps you have felt, at some time or other, like you were under a spell that was manifesting something you didn’t want. Perhaps you repeatedly return to a place or person that isn’t good for you, all the while questioning your sanity. Perhaps you have experienced a series of accidents that seem more frequent than would ordinarily happen to one person. Or, you may blurt out inappropriate things even though you have had many talks with yourself to shut up. These things are more likely curses.

Spells are different from curses. Curses usually command the Universe to do harm to a person or group of people, often over a period of one or more generations. (Read more about curses in a recent article I wrote here: Ancient Curses Affecting You Today.

However, the purpose of a spell is to create a reality that has a different outcome than the current one.  Usually, it is to manifest a new reality or to cause, psychically, someone to behave in a way that s/he wouldn’t ordinarily behave. For instance, a love spell might be cast to make a particular person fall in love with the spell caster. A glamour, a type of spell, would create an illusion to confuse people and hide a person’s true face or character. A money spell would be to draw in prosperity.

Casting a spell requires tools to manifest one’s desires. A successful spell employs possibly a phrase or rhyme, plus includes action. The action might mean lighting a certain colored candle, beating a drum, burying a piece of paper with the goal written on it, dancing, or drumming. So it involves a series of actions.

For instance, you might want a certain amount of money by a certain date. So you create a rhyme (rhymes contain power) like:

Just like bees to honey,

I attract money.

Money come to me,

and as I desire, let it be.

Then you could write down the amount on a piece of paper, light a green (for money) candle, and burn the paper with the candle flame to release the energy. You repeat the spell out loud several times.

Spells can be useful in attracting results. The important thing to remember when casting a spell is that it requires integrity. For instance, it’s okay to create a love spell to attract the perfect lover or partner or spouse. However, it is not acceptable to create a spell to influence a particular person to fall in love with you. That is interfering with that person’s free will. It creates negative karma and will come back on you.

So there you have it – a spell for Halloween. Enjoy the season.
