Life can be challenging in the world today. There is so much chaos, and those of us who are empaths can fall out of balance with the unpleasant, disorienting energy. Staying positive to make our world go smoother can be a challenge even for those who aren’t empaths.
So what is a person to do? One of my solutions is to create beauty. Beauty makes all of life more easy and joyful. It can evoke a sense of serenity.
Think about it. All of us, no matter what gender or sexual orientation, enjoy looking at a beautiful woman. Her beauty calls forth a pleasure response in us all. A beautiful woman inspires others. And we, too, can be beautiful in our own way.
I believe that it is important for us to think in terms of giving ourselves and others gifts to the world through beauty, whether it is the food we artfully arrange on a plate, the way we drape fabric across a wall, the pot of flowers we plant, the attractive clothes we wear or the welcoming smile we give to others. Beauty is an antidote for an agitated world.
“Oh, but,” you say, “I’m not the creative type.” Well, everyone has some talent or the other – at least one, but likely many. Maybe you like to garden, and can put together a garden scene that pleases. Maybe you like to crochet, and can create a lovely wall hanging. Maybe you are good at refinishing things and can buy some old junky furniture to refresh and renew it. Maybe you enjoy photographing lovely scenes. There are endless ways to update and improve your home and office to create beauty.
If none of that appeals to you, hire or trade with someone to help you. One way or another it is important to your soul to create beauty in your life. Because beauty creates an intrinsic pleasure within us to just behold it. It helps calm the chaos. And it is free with no ticket to buy, no investment or reservation to make for the joy.
